Jean Faries

It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Louise Rehm Faries announce her passing peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the age of 98.

Jean was born in Galion, OH in 1925 to Ed and Martha Rehm. While attending Ohio Wesleyan, she met the love of her life, Charles H. Faries. They would marry in 1946. In her life, she was a draftsperson, social bridge player, skeet shooter, clothing designer and volunteer at Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Charles H. Faries; parents, Ed and Martha Rehm.

She will be missed by her children, Jill Rinaldo and John Faries, and their extended families which includes five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Jean’s caregivers at Dominion Assisted Living.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
