Jeff Copas

Jeff Copas, 43, of 124 Dogwood St. Gray, was born on November 6, 1966, and died on Monday evening, March 8, 2010. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Copas Estep; his paternal grandfather, Cloud Copas; his paternal grandmother, Willa Dean Copas; and his maternal grandfather, Burl Chase.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Tommy and Carolyn Copas, of Gray; his fiancée, Penny Huskins; his maternal grandmother, Pauline Chase, Eastern Star Road; uncles, Gary Chase and family, Eastern Star, and Bunel Copas and Susan, Colonial Heights; and many friends and neighbors.

Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Truman Ferguson officiating.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Eastern Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Gary Chase, Dakota Chase, Tyler Chase, Johnny Fields, Chance Prichett, and Elijah Littleton. Honorary pallbearers are Bunel Copas and Jimmy D. Copas.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
