Jeff Ward

Jeff Ward, 50, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home following a short battle with cancer. Born in Kingsport, he had resided most of his life in Fall Branch. Jeff had worked at Wal-Mart Distribution Center for 16 years and attended Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tillman and Juanita Ward; three brothers: Charles, Junior and Gayle Ward.

Jeff is survived by his fiancée, Vickie Bowen; two daughters: Amber Ward and Brandi Ward; one son: Preston Thornburg and wife, Karissa; six grandchildren: Connor, Liam, Mila, Naomi, Kassie, and Emaree; soon to be mother-in-law: Verna Lawson; special friends: Jeff Morelock, Todd Ferguson, and John Ferguson.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 8, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m with Pastor Jody Jenkins officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Preston Thornburg, Chris Starnes, Dusty Jackson, Jeff Morelock, Stevie Payne, and Knobie Smith.

The family would like to say a special "Thank you" to the staff of Wellmont Hospice for the excellent care given to Jeff.
