Jeffery Scott Castle

Jeffery Scott Castle, Sr., 25, of Kingsport, went to be with Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2010, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his family and friends and also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He really loved his son, Jeffery, and they enjoyed spending time together.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Perry Kilgore; grandmother, Joyce Marie Hite; grandfather, Orville Castle; and sister-in-law, Laura Kilgore.

He is survived by his wife, Melody Castle of Kingsport; a son, Jeffery Castle, Jr. of Kingsport; mother, Mary Lou Gillenwater of Kingsport; father, Orville Jay Castle of Kingsport; brother, Jonathan Gillenwater and wife Chelsea of Kingsport; a special mother-in-law, Joan Crawford and husband Dane of Belmont, NC; and a special uncle, Charlie Gillenwater of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Musick officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
