Jennifer "Jen" LeAnn Vicars, 44, died Friday, September 25, 2009 following an extended illness.
Born August 4, 1965 to Lowell and Rosemary Vicars, she had been a resident most of her life. Jen was a 1983 graduate of Sullivan North High School and a former jewelry designer.
Jen was a member of Morrison Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, godmother, daughter, aunt and sister.
Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, James Kyle and Edna Vicars; maternal grandparents, Sam and Lorene Taylor; favorite aunt, Nell Elkins; maternal aunt, Patsy Chaffin; maternal uncle and aunt, Benny and Charlotte Taylor; and paternal uncle, Cleve Alvis.
Survivors include her son, Jamison "Jamey" Vicars; parents, Lowell and Rosemary Vicars; sister, Dawn Hodges and husband Tim; brothers, Chris Vicars and wife Brooke, Darin Vicars and wife Tonya; nieces, Taylor Hodges, Mikayleigh Mounger and Kinzee Mounger; nephews, Caleb Hodges and Kyle Mounger; aunts and uncles, Shelby and Lee Smith, Phyllis and Roy Marshall; godson, Les Russell; father of her son, Tom Addington, Jr.; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Morrison Chapel United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Ray Amos Jr. and Rev. Bill Porter officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Amos and Judy Dean.
