Jenny Reedy

Jenny Reedy, 78, of Kingsport went home to be with The Lord Tuesday, September 13, 2011 after an extended illness. She was a very caring and loving mother and wife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Reedy, Jr.; sisters, Oakie Pennington, Marie Bennett, and Josephine Brown; and brothers, Marion Lester and Walter Lester.

Jenny is survived by her sons, C. Allan Reedy and wife Janet of Church Hill and Captain David D. Reedy and wife Debbie of Alconbury, UK; grandchildren Michelle L. Reedy, Leslie R. Tate and husband Aaron, Bethany Reedy, Rebecca Reedy; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Reedy and Emilee Tate; sisters Grace White of Centerburg, Ohio and Katherine Stevenson of Maryland; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the home of her son Allan at anytime. Visitation will be on Monday, September 19th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m., Elmer Lester and Captain David D. Reedy officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Virginia.
