Jerry Lee Davis, age 50, of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (October 7, 2014) at his residence.
Born in Kingsport on July 3, 1964, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Ruby Evelyn Arnold Davis, he has resided in this area his entire life.
Mr. Davis was a carpenter.
Jerry will be remembered as a loving lifetime partner, father, grandfather who was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first grandchild, brother, uncle and friend who loved spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
It was his wish to be cremated.
Survivors include his lifetime partner, Helen Davis; daughters, Courtney Leigh Davis and fiancé Rion Gilliam of Kingsport and Summer Marie Smith and husband Nathaniel of East Dahlonega, GA; grandchild, Kendell Shay Gilliam; brothers, Keith Davis and wife Tammy and Larry Davis and wife Terri all of Kingsport; Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 pm Monday (October 13, 2014) at West View Baptist Church, 1037 Fairview Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37660. Services will follow at 7:30 pm Monday at the church. Pastor Mike Stout will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Howie Dykes, Lofie Fields, Jeff Parker, Jeff Flanary, David Kilgore, Ronnie Webb and Wayne Webb.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund set up in his name c/o Keith Davis, 614 Midfield Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37665.
