Jerry “Nanny” McKay, 81, of Gray, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. Jerry owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Louise Haren; and brother, Gene Haren.
Jerry is survived by her husband, Bill McKay; daughter, Shira Easterling and husband James; son, Blake McKay; three grandchildren, Benji Buckles, Jared McKay and wife Lurelle, and Heath McKay; four great-grandchildren, Braylen, Kelly, Adelaide, and Theodore; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Bledsoe officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jared McKay, Heath McKay, Jamie McKay, Blake McKay, Benji Buckles, and James Easterling.
