Jerry Morelock

Jerry C. Morelock, 65, of Kingsport, died Friday evening, October 12, 2007 at Takoma Regional Hospital in Greeneville.

Jerry was born in Sullivan County where he had resided most of his life. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded him in death by his parents, Clyde and Odell Morelock; son, Bobby Morelock; wife, Barbara Hyatt Morelock; wife, Anna Jo Gilland; sisters, Nancy Sue Morelock and Marilyn Crawford; and his grandparents.

Surviving are three sisters, Darlene Light, Mereda Storie, both of Kingsport, and Shirley Thorpe of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or any time at the home of Shirley Thorpe.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Orville Dolen, Rev. Buddy Dingus, and Rev. Pete Smith officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown?s Chapel Cemetery in Parrotsville, TN.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
