Jerry W. Morgan, 60, of Sevierville, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a 1967 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he majored in accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant and long-time owner of the Jerry W. Morgan Accounting Firm in Sevierville.

An ex-Marine and patriot, Jerry could always be depended upon to conduct himself with honor and integrity, taking life's responsibilities seriously, practicing self-control and temperance and felt it was his duty to be a good citizen.

He was very intelligent and articulate and could converse adeptly on a myriad of subjects. He was a good person, and with his sharp wit and sense of humor, he made countless friends throughout the Sevierville/Knoxville community. He leaves a void with his family and friends that is filled in the sharing of Jerry's Christian belief in Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, W.T. Morgan; grandparents, William and Gillie Morgan and Jessie and Nora Jones; and several aunts and uncles.

Jerry is survived by his Mother, Helen Morgan of Kingsport; two brothers, Tom Morgan of Kingsport and Bill Morgan of Gate City, VA; son, William Meadows Morgan, of Knoxville, fiancée, Vicki Lewis; , " granddaughter" Danica, step-daughters, Lydia Scott and Tera Meadows and three nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Pete Barbour officiating.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Chris Morgan, Chad Morgan, Justin Morgan, Roger Jones, and Gary Gilmore will serve as pallbearers.
