Jerry Ray Neff, 62, Kingsport, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of the Carter's Valley Community and had worked for the City of Kingsport Public Works for 35 years. Jerry enjoyed playing cards and NASCAR. He loved his family and would give anybody the shirt off his back.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Neff; mother, Elsie Lawson; father, Otto Neff; and brother, Eddie Neff.
Jerry is survived by his and his dog, Tiny Neff; sons, Gerren Neff, Michael Neff and wife, Alisha; step-sons, Henry Johnson and wife, Pam, and Jerry Lynn Williams and wife, Tammy; step-daughter, Amy Carrico and husband, Terry; several grandchildren; brother, William Neff; sister, Brenda and husband, Mike; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11-1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.
