Jerry William Smith

Jerry William Smith, 75, entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Jerry faithfully served as a deacon and church pianist at Sullivan Baptist Church for the past 37 years. He retired from Tennessee Eastman in 1997 and was a realtor with Southern Dwellings Real Estate, Kingsport, TN.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Saundra Baxter Smith of Fall Branch, one brother, Herman Thomas Smith and wife, Pam of Lilburn, GA, and sister-in-law, Marie Compton Smith of Canton, GA. Jerry's beautiful life and influence will forever be cherished by his three daughters, Kimberly Collette and Lance of Winterville, NC, Christina Bear, and Falecia and Darby Kindle of Kingsport, TN. Jerry's beloved grandchildren are Avery Collette Johnson and husband Jeremy, Sydney Michelle Collette, Charles William Collette, Casey Shea Bear, Breanna Lee Kindle, and Savanah Marie Kindle. His nieces are Lisa Finch, Brandy Keyt, Jacqueline Smith, Patricia Smith, and nephew, Jeff Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2-5:00 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Sullivan Baptist Church, 4152 Maplewood Street, Kingsport, TN. A celebration of Jerry's life will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating. A private burial will be held on Sunday at East Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sullivan Baptist Church Building fund are requested in memory of Jerry.
