Jesse C. Riddle, Jr

Jesse C. Riddle, Jr., 69, of Kingsport, died Wednesday February 24, 2010 at home. As Job said in Job 29:18, "I will die in my own house." Jesse loved his pet cats and enjoyed reading and learning. He was proud to say he had watched his favorite movie, "The Passion of the Christ", many times.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Coleman Riddle, Sr., and Jennada Bernice Fugate Riddle; and a sister, Barbara Anita Riddle.

Surviving are a sister, Betty Ackerson and husband Cliff of Hayes, VA; uncles and aunts, Robert E. and Ruth Fugate, and Shirley N. Fugate; niece, Bonnie McAvoy; nephew, Gregory Ackerson; cousins, Susan, Tom and Vickie; and cherished friends, Paul and Shirley Sullivan.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 1, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Nickelsville Cemetery in Nickelsville, Virginia, and will be officiated by Rev. Steve Collins.
