Jessica Victoria Alley

Jessica Alley, 33 of Mt. Carmel gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.  Jessica was a bright light that warmed the hearts of everyone around her.  She will be remembered as a loving daughter, fiancée, mother and friend.  Jessica loved horror movies, car rides, listening to music and spending time with her friends and family.  To sum up her precious life in just a paragraph is nearly impossible but she certainly lived life to its fullest.  Jessica was taken from us far too soon and her loss leaves a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled.  However, her light will continue to be carried on by all of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edith and L.J. (Mamaw and Papaw) Minton, and her best friend, Keesha Burke.

Jessica is survived by her fiancé, Mike Armstrong; son, Elijah “Bub” Alley; parents, Scott and Tammy Alley; brother, Collin Alley; grandmother, Zinda Shelton; aunts and uncles, Ronnie and Vivian Minton, Gary and Linda Minton, Calvin and Donna  Alley; cousins, Lorie Gaskins, Angela Grimsley, Lisa Aiken, and Brandon Minton; special cousin, Andrew Franklin; and several other cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. 

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Mt. Mitchell Cemetery in Mt. Carmel.
