Jim Vanlandingham

Jim Vanlandingham, 71, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Brookhaven Manor. He was formerly from Texas where he had worked as a high school band director for 43 years. He was also past-president of the Texas Band Masters Association.

He is survived by his wife, Gigi Vanlandingham of Kingsport; daughters Beth Mayberry of St. Louis, MO, and Laura Vanlandingham of Houston, TX; step-daughter, Sonia Kutz of Kingsport; sister, Nanette Zuercher of Texas; and brother Jerry Vanlandingham of Texas.

Funeral arrangements will be held in Texas at a later date.
