Jimmie Ruth Toney

Jimmie Ruth Toney, 79 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 12, 2014. She was a devout Christian and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Jimmie was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Toney; parents James and Grace Durham; sisters Billie Jean Durham, Jo Ann Wright and brother Creed F. Durham.

Survivors include her children: Mitzi Robbins and husband Dennis; son Mark Randall Toney of Johnson City and daughter Lynn Overbay and fiancé Jim Houdeshell; grandson Scott Robbins; brother Jack Durham and wife, Kathy of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law Janice Durham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15th at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Wes Rankin officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be family members Jack Durham II, Keith Wright, Donnie Durham, Scott Robbins, Jake Houdeshell and John Toney.
