Jimmy Frank Ball, 56, born April 1, 1954 of Lovelace Road, Fall Branch, TN, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Hubert Ball in July 1979 and his brother-in-law, Jimmie Bishop in August 1994.

Survivors include his daughter, Jimmie D. Salyer and husband, Johnny of Kingsport; mother, Pauline Ball of Van Hill, TN; sister, Elizabeth Bishop of Van Hill, TN; brother, Johnny Ball of Van Hill, TN; nephew, Jessie D. Bishop and wife, Ashley of Church Hill, TN; special companion, Peggy Ann Dykes of the home; Peggy's children, BJ Oaks, Shirley Harkleroad, Jackie Tyus and Susan Boswell; grandchildren, Dakota, Haley and Andrew Salyer, India Tyus, Nicholas Boswell, Meadow Ann Harkleroad and Brooklyn Boswell; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Burial will follow at Weems Cemetery in Van Hill, TN with Rev. Mark Ball and Rev. Todd Jennings officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Todd Jennings, Bill McLain and Chip McLain.

Pallbearers are Tim "Cuzz" Thornburg, Jeff Turnmire, Shane Wilson, Shawn Riddle, John Martin, Mick Morelock and Aaron Light. Honorary Pallbearers are Russell Cavin, Joe Hensley, Phillip Wilcox, Danny Ward, Paul Cavin, Louis D. Simpson, Joe A. Simpson, Pat Wilcox, Donnie McLain, Allen "Slick" Harkleroad and Roger Boswell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with all expenses.
