Jimmy E. Daniels

Jimmy Eugene Daniels, 56, of Kingsport went home to be with his heavenly Father Saturday (July 5, 2014)at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, Greeneville, surrounded by his loving wife, Angela Fleenor Daniels, his daughter, Kristen Daniels, and sister-in-law, Debbie Fleenor.

Born in Ft. Carson, CO, on November 9, 1957, a son of the late Harlow and Margarie Daniels, he had resided in this area most of his life where he was a driver and driver trainer. He was employed by Ozark Motor Lines for 6 months and previously Stoughton Trucking Company for 1 ½ years. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his daughters, Eva Mullins; two brothers, Troy Daniels and Terry Daniels.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Fleenor Daniels; daughters, Kristen Daniels, Kingsport, and Samantha Daniels, Knoxville; step-daughter, Brittany Gilbert and husband, Kelsey, Eugene, OR; step-sons, Matthew Jarrett, Blountville, TN, and Dakota Jarrett, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Haleigh Daniels, Aviona Daniels, Daejah Shields, William Keathly and London Daniels; step-grandchildren, Delilah Gilbert and Solomon Gilbert; sister, Barbara Jones and husband, Larry of Powell, TN; brother, Jerry Daniels of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews, and a host of good friends.

On behalf of the Jimmy Daniels family we would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the third floor nurses at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, especially his nurses Sue and Koren who went above and beyond to see to his care as well as to his family's needs. God bless you all.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm Thursday in the chapel with Pastor Richard Willis officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Daniels, Mark Hibbert, John Fleenor, Jr., Harold Kaywood, Todd Broughton, and Carlos Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be his step-sons, Matthew Jarrett, Dakota Jarrett, William Kaywood, and Jackie Gilliam.
