Jo Ann Hart

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jo Ann Hart, 84, announces she went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2022, at 11:07 a.m. Jo lived in Bristol, VA, and was a former resident of Cleveland, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Sullivan; stepmother, Estelle O’Quinn Sullivan; mother, Gay Sutherland Sullivan; son, Darnell Amburgey; daughter, Rita Bush; brother, Jim Sullivan; and grandson, Kenny Buffington.

Jo Ann is survived by her daughter, Alfreda Montecalvo (Michael) of Bristol, TN; son, Rick Amburgey (Brenda) of Spencer, Ohio; sisters, Dorothy Colley of Abingdon, VA, Joyce Powers of Bristol, VA, and Gale Price (Jim) of Bristol, VA; brother, Kenny Sullivan (Deborah) of Charleston, WV; twelve grandchildren, Kimberly Phillips, Ronald Buffington, Bianca Buffington, Christopher McCallops, Ian McCallops, Justin McCallops, Amy Dutilo, Ryan Montecalvo, Josh Amburgey, Ashley Amburgey, Dr. Savannah Ottero, Aja Ottero; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jo Ann is being cared for by Holston Cremation. A memorial service will be held November 18, 2022, at the Scenic Park Baptist Church, 793 Old Airport Rd., Bristol, VA, 24201, with Pastor Jim Price and Rev. Mark Colley (nephew) officiating.
