Glenda Joan Daugherty Jones, 71, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011.
A native of McMinn County, she graduated from Polk County High School and East Tennessee State University. She lived in Raleigh, NC, as well as Kingsport, TN. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Jones, and her parents Anna Belle Baker and Samuel Daugherty.
She is survived by a son, Andy Jones, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; sister, Gail Torbett and husband, Leonard, of Cleveland, TN; brother, Posie Barker and wife, Jann, of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Tennessee Multiple Sclerosis Society, 214 Overlook Circle, Brentwood, TN 37027.
