Joan Ball King

Joan Ball King, 90, of Kingsport, passed away at her home, Monday afternoon, June 19, 2023, surrounded by her children. She was born in Hawkins County and graduated from Sullivan High School. Joan was a member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Stella Ball; husband, Norman King; brother, Eugene Ball; and brother-in-law, Jim King.

Survivors include her children, Pam King, Jeff King and Wendy King; nieces and nephew, Debbie, Julie and Bryan; sister-in-law, Joyce King; and special friends, Beth Warner and JoAnn Christian.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Shannon Morelock officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cross Anchor Cemetery, in Greeneville, TN.
