Joel Wesley Hatfield

Joel Wesley Hatfield, 63, of Blountville passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 31, 1960, to the Late Hanscle and Ina Pearl Hatfield in Bristol, VA. Joel worked as a forklift operator at Electrolux for 20 years. He was also a craftsman, proficient in carpentry and painting. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his beloved sons and grandson, playing spoons and watching Gunsmoke. He was known for his green thumb and ability to garden and landscape beautifully. Joel will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hanscle and Ina Pearl Hatfield and nephew, Franklin Hamby.

Survivors include his sons, Adam Hatfield (Ashley) and Seth Hatfield (Emilyn Belcher); sisters, Dianna Sammons, Lisa Gray and Susan Nelms (Mike); brothers, Steve Hatfield (Carolyn) and Michael Hatfield; grandchildren, Aaron Hatfield and Carly Hartley and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, in the Garden of Gethsemane at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park, Blountville, Tennessee.
