John "Jack" Norman Anders, 75, of Kingsport, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 27, 2014.
He graduated in 1957 from Monongahela High School. He worked in the mining manufacturing industry for over 35 years. Most recently he worked as the maintenance director for Wellington Place. He was a devoted member of St. Peter the Apostle Anglican Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Anders, sisters Elaine Anders Myers and Mary Anders Gillingham.
He is survived by Carole Porter Anders, his wife of 55 years, sons: John Charles Anders and wife, Veronica, and William "Bill" Anders and wife, Vicky; daughter: Amy L. Diamond and husband, Terry; grandchildren: Ashley, Matthew, Meghan, Carollynn, Katie, Billy, Kayli, Ben, Kelsie, Vivian, and Noah; siblings: Bernard "Bill" Anders, Margaret "Peggy" Jackson and Donald Anders; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Kingsport Fire Department, Sullivan County EMS, Wellmont Holston Valley Emergency Department and the CCU for their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with funeral services following at 7 p.m. with Father Frank O'Donnell officiating.
