John Nicholas "Nicky" Cleek

Nicky Cleek, 45, Kingsport, died early Friday morning at his parents home.

Born in Kingsport, he had resided most of his life here except for 8 years in North Carolina. Nicky was a graduate of Sullivan South High School. He was a pipe welder, having worked for several different companies.

Nicky enjoyed go-cart racing and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Iris Smith; paternal grandparents, Hack and Margaret Cleek; and cousin, Dawn Cleek.

Surviving are his son, Nicky John Cleek, Kingsport; parents, John and Marilyn Cleek, Kingsport; brother, Brett Cleek and wife DeAnna, Kingsport; sister, Christy Glover Fink, Kingsport; nieces, Brittany Glover, Candice Bender, Courtney Mauk, and Ashton Glover; uncle, Scott Cleek and wife Tracey; aunt, Glenda Wilson; cousins, Tim Wilson, Vicky Wilson, Donna Richardson, and Lucy Cleek.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Joseph Indian School, 1301 N Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at East Lawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Jerry Ketron officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at
11:15 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hicks, Eric Bell, Tony Glover, Vincent Alderete, Mike Cleek and Ernie Hammonds.
