John Edward Faust Jr

John Edward Faust Jr. passed away at his home on Sunday evening, March 11, 2018. After earning a BS and MBA in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee, John returned home to work in management positions for the various companies that ran the former Kingsport Press. John was a community volunteer serving on the boards of Kingsport Tomorrow, Kingsport YMCA, Kingsport Area United Way, Madison House, Kingsport-Hawkins Co. Chapter of the American Red Cross, Leadership Kingsport, and Holston Valley Hospital. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Kingsport, Kingsport Metropolitan Planning Commission and Kingsport's Historic Zoning Commission.

The Faust Family would like to thank all of the people at Mountain States Home Health & Hospice for their loving care of John.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Edward Faust.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cathie, daughter, Elizabeth, and cat, Lucy. Other surviving family is mother, Marie Faust, sister, Becky Bonds, a niece and nephew, and many cousins and friends.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm on Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kingsport Animal Shelter, 2141 Idle Hour Rd., Kingsport, TN 37660.
