John E. Goddard

John Goddard, 69, of Kingsport, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his home following a battle with cancer. He was born May 28, 1943 to Frank Louis and Willie Ruth Goddard. John was a veteran of the Air Force, retired dental lab technician and faithful member of Oakwood Forest Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Aurora Patricia Goddard.

John is survived by his wife, Connie Goddard; daughter, Julia Goins and husband, Jeremiah; two sons, Andy Goddard and wife, Allison, and John Goddard, II; brother, William Goddard and wife, Karen Rockey; three grandchildren, Mason, Sam, and Riley; mother-in-law, Inus Ashby; sister-in-law, Donna Ashby; and brother-in-law, David Ashby.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, July 7th at 1:00 pm at Oakwood Forest Christian Church with Marlin S. Jaynes, Minister, officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service.
