John H. Baines, 79, Jonesborough, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Four Oaks Healthcare. He was of the Baptist Faith. John had worked at Security Feed Co. in Jonesborough and retired from Mize Home and Garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law.
John is survived by his brother, Arthur Baines and wife, Frances; 2 sisters, Sally Manley and Dorthy Tobolski; 3 step-daughters, Trina Sherfey, Renee Oaks and Rhonda Underwood; special step-grandson, John Underwood; and several other step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Lowell Phillips officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
