John Hutchins

Mr. John Hutchins, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014 after a brief period of illness. He was born August 4, 1932 in Mendota, VA.

John was a wonderful person who loved his wife, kids, and grandchildren. He loved the Lord, had a very kind heart, and loved making people happy.

Mr. Hutchins was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Jurline Dingus Hutchins; parents, Hugh and Annie Hutchins; five sisters, Rosie Ester Jones, Bert Johnson, Bell Hicks, Nannie Overbay, Linda Morrison, and two brothers, Andrew and Bobby Eugene.

Mr. Hutchins is survived by his one son, Rick (Theresa Sheets Hutchins), Johnson City, TN; one daughter, Barbara (Jeff Sanders), Gray, TN; three granddaughters, Heather Sanders, Carly Hutchins (fiancé, Matthew Crowder), and Jenna Hutchins; one grandson, Brad Sanders (Beth Sanders); and three great-grandchildren, Brady, Brooke and Caleb.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stephen Dingus officiating. Special music will be provided by family and friends.

Interment will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
