John W. Jones, Jr

John W. "Buddy" Jones, Jr., 69, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at
Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, TN after a lengthy illness.

Buddy was a native of Kingsport and a member of the Kingsport Antique Rod Club.

He was of the Baptist faith.

His parents, John Jones, Sr. and Gladys V. Jones; and two brothers, Haynes C. Jones and Ricky Jones preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Katherine Jones of the home; daughter, Lisa Tipton and husband Rick of Kingsport; one grandson, Tyler Tipton; two brothers, Danny Jones and wife Brenda of Gray, Clyde L. Jones of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be conducted at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Yuma, VA with Dr. Tony Gonzales officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will Billy Bellamy, Maynard Ketron, George Teague, Bob Smith, Jim Linkous, Garnet Ray, Glen Armstrong, and members of the Kingsport Antique Rod Club.
