John Hubert Mitchell
John Hubert "Mitch" Mitchell, Jr., 58, Kingsport, TN, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 18, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who enjoyed fishing and motorcycles. John was considered a "Teddy Bear" by those who knew him best.
His father, John Hubert Mitchell, grandparents, Jim and Dallie Frank and Leonard and Nelly Mitchell preceded him in death.
Surviving are his mother, Patsy Frank Mitchell, sisters, Belinda Mitchell, Tonda Necessary and fiancé Troy Graham; and Patty Moore and husband Kirby; very special uncle, Thomas Frank; very special aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Eddie Whittington; nieces, Shannon Vaughn and partner Elizabeth Pierson; nephews, Brian Necessary and wife Kristen, Joshua Necessary and wife Brandy, Hunter and Carson Moore; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews; best friends, Allen Castle and Jack Smith.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Castle officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
