John A. "Bud" Randall, Jr., 89, Kingsport, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Asbury Place Baysmont. Mr. Randall, son of John and Cora Mae Randall, was born in Knoxville, TN on November 23, 1925, and lived in Kingsport since the age of six months. He entered the service during his senior year at Dobyns-Bennett High School and served in the U.S. Army 70th Infantry, seeing combat in France and Germany. Bud attained the rank of Master Sergeant prior to his discharge. While attending ETSU he met his wife of 67 years. Bud retired from the Kingsport Power Company, AEP System and enjoyed living part time in Ft. Myers, Florida for over 20 years. He was a fun and loving husband, father and friend and will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Viola Flamm.
Bud is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Mary Ann Randall; son, John Randall III; daughter, Linda Randall and husband, Phil Tipton; granddaughters, Nicole Randall Smith and husband, Troy, and Jessie Randall Tipton; grandson, John A. "Jack" Randall, IV; great-granddaughter, Skyler Smith; and nephews, Rick and Paul Flamm.
A private family service is planned.
