John B. Sampley

John B. Sampley, Jr., 61, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Indian Path Medical Center. Born in Chattanooga, he was employed as an electrician and traveled all over the U.S. working in construction. John was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 175.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Jane Sampley and John B. Sampley, Sr.

John is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Alymira S. Ford; children, Damon, Dana and Aiden Sampley, and Shane Ford; brother, Bob Sampley and wife Betty, and daughter, Lisa; and sister, Sue McCurley and husband, Travis, and children, Sonya and "Briar Rabbit."

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Ron Owens officiating.

Additional services for John will be held at Richard-Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in Lafayette, GA. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 29th with funeral services on March 30th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
