Johnnie Hughes

Johnnie Hughes, 89, of Harmony Community, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, after a short battle with cancer. He enjoyed farming and nature. He is of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Hughes; one daughter, Barbara Hughes; parents, Alex and Isabelle Hughes; sisters, Agnes, Ellie, Annie, Bertha, Mabel; and brothers, Carl, Virgil, Ralph.
Johnnie is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Wilmoth and husband, Jim; son, Roger Hughes and wife, Karen; brother, Pascal Hughes; three grandchildren, Brooke Phillippe, Adam Hughes, Bobby Dickerson; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Dr. E. Dwight Hobbs officiating.
Burial will follow at East Tennessee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
