Johnny Gregory

Johnny L. Gregory, Jr. "Rebel", 53, of Blountville, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville TN, after a battle with Leukemia. He was born in Union, S.C. and has most recently resided in Blountville, TN. Johnny was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School, Class of '74.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny L. Gregory, Sr.

Survived by daughter, Jessica L Holley and husband Robert of Columbia, S.C.; mother, Mary Raines of Blountville, TN; significant other, Susan Slagle of the home; sister, Debbie Gregory of Blountville, TN;; four brothers, Donnie Malpass, Jr. of Union, S.C., Kent Raines of Kingsport, TN, Cliff Raines of Spartanburg, S.C., Craig Raines of Warrensburg, MO; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or anytime at the home of his mother 4547 Hwy 11W. Blountville, TN.

The service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Rhines officiating.
