Johnny H. Richards, 77, of Fall Branch, passed from his residence to Christ on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 8:00 p.m.
He was a devoted member of Sullivan Baptist Church with a passion for its people and mission. He was faithful and unwavering in his love for Christ, his love for his family, and in the kindness he extended to everyone.
He retired as credit union manager of Borden Plant Credit Union with over 40 years of service.
Preceded by his loving wife of 55 years, Emogene Fink Richards; father, Lacy Richards; mother, Erma Coats Richards; brother, Joe Jones; nephew, Michael Jones; niece, Mary Elizabeth Jones.
Surviving are two daughters; Geri Richards of Kingsport, Ladonna Greer and husband, Darrell of Fall Branch; son, John Richards and wife, Michelle of Fall Branch; granddaughter, Brooke Denton and husband, Billy; grandson, Luke Richards; great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace Denton; sister, Dorothy Conkin of Fall Branch; sister-in-law, Opal Jones of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Sullivan Baptist Church in Kingsport.
Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Fall Branch.
