Hunter Carpenter, 33, of Kingsport, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and nephew. Hunter was considered kind and thoughtful. He was a reader of the Wilbur Smith and Jack Reacher series and a hunter. Hunter worked for TEC Industrial for 4 years and was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. His mom loves him more than life. Hunter loved his daddy with all of his heart, who was Hunter's rock.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luke and Chloa Carpenter and maternal grandfather, VJ Beverly; father-in-law, Hugh K. Anderson.
Hunter is survived by his wife and best friend of 12 years, Amanda Anderson Carpenter; daughters, Madi Carpenter and Chloe Jackson; step-daughter, Kierstyn Judd, whom all were his reason for living; mother, Donna Beverly Carpenter; father, Ray Carpenter and wife, Lisa; brother, Matthew J. Carpenter of Kingsport; half brother, Toby R. Carpenter and family of Knoxville, TN; step-brother, Brandon Taylor and wife, Rachel of Rogersville, TN; maternal grandmother, Ruth Beverly of Kingsport; mother-in-law, Jane Anderson of Kingsport; several aunts and uncles; special aunt and uncle, Pam and Howard Irwin; and his beloved dog "Titan."
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
