Joseph Douglas Morrell

Joseph Douglas Morrell, 82, of Piney Flats, passed away Tuesday February 4th, 2025.

Born November 19th, 1942 to Joseph and Irma Webb Morrell he, was a graduate of Mary Hughes High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after several years of service. He loved to farm but had to stop due to health reasons. He spent his days watching Christian TV and Westerns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Sue and their son, Joseph Paul Morrell.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Kimberly Parker and husband Jason of Alma, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, Colby Morrell of Louisville, KY, Colton Morrell of Lenoir City, TN and Dakotah Morrell and his wife Alondra of Ten Mile, TN, Ryley Parker and Josie Parker both of Alma, Arkansas.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10am Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park in the Garden Of Everlasting Life with Pastor Ron Lee officiating.
