Joseph "Joe" Vondenberger

Joseph "Joe" Vondenberger, 54, Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Joe was born and raised in Dayton, OH. He served in the U.S. Army for eight years and worked as a maintenance supervisor in Bradenton, FL. He moved to Kingsport in 2007.

Joe was the loving husband of Roena Vondenberger, Kingsport, TN; father of Amy C. Vondenberger-Kalingal, Honolulu, HI; and David K. Vondenberger of Brandenton, FL; loving stepfather of Heather, Jamie, Travis, and Blake; loving brother of Sharron T. Wells, Aurora, CO; Sheila T. Bushman, Polk City, FL; Tom Vondenberger, Calhoun, GA; Mike Vondenberger, Spring Valley, OH; Rita Bieri, Dayton, OH; and John "Eric" Vondenberger, Kettering, OH; loving grandfather of Aja and Ada Kalingal; loving step-grandfather of Skyler, Brett, Stacy, Christian, Rylee, Triston, and Damion; and loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, with Doug Overbay officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
