Joshua Brandon Jones

Joshua Brandon Jones, 35, of Kingsport died Sunday 4-18-10 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center due to complications from diabetes. Born in Kingport, where he resided most of his life, Josh was a 1993 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. He loved the outdoorsa€"especially fishing and playing golf.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Jones; and his paternal grandparents, William and Gladys Jones.

Survivors include his father, Paul "Tim" Jones; a brother, Eric Jones and wife Nicole; nephew and nieces, Landon, Lyndsey, and Alyssa Jones; maternal grandparents, Reed and Agnes Minor; aunts and uncles, Hope and husband Dale Byrd, Doris and husband Don Williams, Janice and husband Wayne McMurraya€"all of Kingsport, and Carol and husband Ron Garst of Chuckey; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday 4-20-10 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, or anytime at the home of his brother, Eric. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 am at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
