Joshua "Josh" Curtis Pennington

Joshua "Josh" Curtis Pennington, 38, of Walnut Cove, NC, formerly of Church Hill, went to his heavenly home following an apparent heart attack on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Josh was a graduate of Volunteer High School. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in North Carolina where he was an official door greeter. Josh was an avid animal lover. He was a loving son, nephew and friend and a big hearted country boy.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rev. Floyd and Polly Smith, and paternal grandparents, Curt and Bert Pennington.

Josh is survived by his mother, Krista Audette and husband, Mike; father, Jimmy Pennington; 2 sisters, Jennifer Manis and Allison Audette; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends including Ronnie and Cathy Dye.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kenny Heath officiating.

Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery.
