Joyce E. Collins, 78, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her home.
Joyce was very kind hearted and always put others before herself. She had a way of making you feel very loved. Joyce loved the Lord and always prayed that she wanted to do God's will.
She is survived by two daughters, Kristi Olson of Fall Branch, Kitty Rozema and boyfriend, Nate Tunstall of Blountville; one son, Kirk Sacher and wife Martha of Johnson City; eight grandchildren, Mike and Matt Rozema, Krystal Payne and husband Brad, Jesse and Harmony Sacher, Dan, Lonny, and Kyle Olson; one sister, Evelyn Buchanan and husband Buck of North Carolina; one brother, Danny Lamar and wife Joanne of Chicago, Illinois; other special family members, Esther Sacher, Fred and Ruth Sacher, Isabel Weems, Courtney Conkin's family, the Lamar family; and several nieces and nephews.
The family extends their thanks to the multitude of families and friends, Celebration Church, Kingsport Hematology Oncology, Regional Kidney Care, Church Hill EMS, Holston Medical Group, Holston Valley Medical Center A6 family, A5, A3, D500, Chaplin's ministry and numerous staff members that cared for Joyce. Also, they would like to thank Cumchae Heitman, Sharon Parsons, Kathy Stevenson and Courtney Conkin's family. The family's message is: "Thank you for all of your prayers and love. God bless you all." "We love you Mom. You will always live in our hearts forever."
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28th at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Robert Russell officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Logans Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Sacher, Mike Rozema, Matt Rozema, and Nate Tunstall.
