Joyce Hartsock

Joyce Ann Hartsock (Hickman), age 70, went to be with our Heavenly father surrounded by family at her home in Kingsport, TN on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Joyce was born on October 31, 1954 in Kingsport to Mable and Mack Hickman. Her childhood was spent with her siblings, Walter, Lawrence, Wayne, Wanda, and Lisa. At the age of 13.5, she met her lifelong soulmate and married at the age of 15 her husband, Curtis W. Hartsock, whom she loved and cared for dearly. They had two children, Amy and Curtis Jr. (Ray). Joyce never met a stranger as her personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered. You would often find her spoiling her grandkids, sitting on the carport with family, or playing her games on her iPad. Joyce's memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. To know her was to love her.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Mack; brothers, Walter and Lawrence; daughter, Amy; and granddaughter, Kristina.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Curtis; son, Curtis Jr. (Ray) and wife, Tracy; brother, Wayne and wife, Terri; sisters, Wanda and Lisa and husband, Jeff; granddaughters, Courtney and fiancé, Randy "Pooh", Brea and fiancé, Nico, Lindsey and fiancé, Shawn; great-grandchildren, Thorin, Kitana, Kayson; special cousins, Peanut and BettyJo; special niece, Leslie; special friends, Donna and Glenn Hicks; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers include Randy "Pooh" Johnson, Nico Cobick, David Lucas, Shane Condry, Mackie Hickman and Shawn Wilson.

Joyce's celebration of life/visitation is scheduled Monday, April 21, 2025 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A service will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating. Graveside Services will take place at Oak Hill Memorial Park at 1:00pm.

The family would also like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their services, along with nurses Malika and Amanda for their tender care.
