Joyce Lex, 71, of Kingsport, passed away at the home of her grandson, Friday, October 8, 2010.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived there most of her life before moving with her family to Tennessee in 1992. Mrs. Lex was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Warren Lex; daughter, Debbie Lex; and brother, Donald Weed.
Survivors include her grandson, Michael Lex and fiancée, Amanda Clark of Kingsport; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Allayna Lex and Dayarna Hall; two sisters, Shirley Brekke and Betty Krenz, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.
