Joyce Charlene Peters

Joyce Charlene Peters, 89, of Gray, TN, went to her heavenly home on March 10, 2023. She was an avid golfer, bowler, square dancer, and seamstress. She and her husband loved to travel and were also challenge level square dancers, which was a favorite hobby of theirs that they loved sharing together. Joyce very much enjoyed listening to music, one of her favorite artists being Roger Whitaker. She was also part of a bowling league that met every Tuesday at Warpath Lanes in Kingsport. Joyce was a strong Christian, and was a member of College Road Baptist Church in Ocala, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow W. Wilson and Gladys Cecile Waits; and loving husband of 30 years, Pete Peters.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Evelyn Bourke; daughter, Tina Bement; three grandsons, Jordan Rawls and wife Koty, Loren Bement and wife Misty, and Ian Bement; four great grandchildren; and nephew, Stephen Dunn.

A celebration of her 90^th birthday will be scheduled in Florida at a later date.
