Joyce Wagner, 74, 1071 Muddy Creek Road, Blountville, TN, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday October 22, 2008 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Born in Kingsport, she lived in the Holston Community practically all of her life and was a graduate of Holston High School.
Joyce and her husband formerly owned and operated school buses in the Sullivan County School System. She was an excellent seamstress, crafts person, former Girl Scout leader, and 4-H Club leader.
Joyce was a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church and was very active in the Bible School program.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Wagner of Blountville; daughters, Malinda Ferrell and husband, Ron of Mount Carmel, DeAnne Parker and husband, Joe of Pulaski, TN; son, Vance Wagner of Blountville; six grandchildren ; one great-granddaughter; sister, Una Dean Smith of Kingsport; and brother, Terrell Smith and wife, Edith of Blountville.
Calling hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Wheeler United Methodist Church. Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Stuart K. Albee officiating.
Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
