Juanita P. Watson

Juanita P. Watson was born July 17, 1931, and died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at her home near Kingsport, Tennessee. She was one of the first members of Poplar Grove Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed her home church, Mill Creek Baptist, while her health allowed. Juanita always looked forward to seeing family and friends and appreciated all those who called and visited during her illness. Throughout her life, Juanita enjoyed reading, gardening, and entertaining friends and family. She also enjoyed her cats. Juanita retired from retail sales, most notably, many wonderful years at Rock Springs Superette.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Oval J. Wallen and Homer L. Watson; one son, Jay Michael "Wally" Wallen; parents, John H. and Nellie Davis Price; two sisters, Rena Cope and Mildred Freeman; and brother, John H. Price, Jr.

Juanita is survived by one son, Joe E. Wallen, his wife Cindi, and their son and Juanita's beloved grandson, Josh E. Wallen, all of Johnson City; two sisters, Helen Fink of Kingsport and Jean Ferguson of Hawkins County; and several nieces and nephews.

An interment service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for immediate family and friends.

Juanita's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, a donation be sent to Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 449 Church Road, Fall Branch, TN 37656.
