Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
Proverbs 31:10
Juanita Gertrude Vaughn, 82, was carried away by the angels on Saturday morning, at home with her family.
Juanita was born on April 23, 1933 to the late Conley and Emma Mae Castle. Waiting to welcome her home were sisters, Stella Mae Hooper, Margaret Williams, Dorothy Stanley; and brothers, Bob Castle, Frank Castle, and a baby brother that she has now met.
Juanita spent her whole life taking care of those she loved and teaching them about her precious Jesus-- ... Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. She loved working with her beautiful flowers and spending time with her family, and of course, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. But most of all, she loved praising her Savior and reading His word.
Left to treasure her life is her beloved husband of 64 years, Stewart Vaughn. He was the love of her life. Children, Sharon and Greg Street, Stanley and Lisa Vaughn, Michelle and Brian Amos; grandchildren, Melissa and Bryan Woods, Alissa Amos, Alex Amos, and Payton Vaughn; great-grandchildren, McKayla Woods and Mallie Woods; special sister-in-law, Wanda Castle; and a host of family and friends at Apostolic Gospel Church.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Vaughn, Alex Amos, Brian Amos, Bryan Woods, Michelle Amos, and Daryl Castle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Payton Vaughn, Phil Robinson, Pete Bailey, John Dixon, and Larry Holly.
There will be a celebration of Juanita's home going on Tuesday from 5-7:00pm at Apostolic Gospel Church with services immediately following at 7:00pm. Pastor Gregg Street will be officiating. Burial will be held, Wednesday, 11:00am at Oak Hill Cemetery.
