Judy Dykes, age 82, of Kingsport, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and husband, Jack, on Friday, May 24, 2024. Judy resided in Kingsport her entire life and had retired from Magnavox in Greeneville. She was a lifelong member of Solomons Temple Missionary Baptist Church and also attended the First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethton.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dykes; son, Robert Dykes; parents, Frank and Elizabeth Crawford; five brothers, Clyde, Bill, John, Darrell Keith and Freddie Crawford; grandson, Jason Harrod.
She is survived by her sons, Frank Dykes and wife Sherrie and Wayland Dykes and husband Roddy Bird; grandchildren, Josh Harrod and wife Deb, Jenaa Gibson and husband Chris and Tyler Holton and wife Alecia; great-grandchildren, Kylie Harrod, Justice, Zaley and Journey Gibson; great-great-grandchildren, Rawlin and Ripkin Holton; sister, Peggy Snapp; brother, Gary Crawford and wife Kathy; lifelong friends, Becky and Ray Tarlton; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. A service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Bobby Bernard, Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt and Pastor Adam Crabtree officiating.
A graveside service will take place at 12pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at East Lawn Memorial Park.
