Judy Warren Fox

Judy Warren Fox, 79, of Kingsport, died Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Church Hill Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Kingsport, she was a 1957 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School where she was a cheerleader. Judy attended Walter State College where she became a Master Gardener. She and her husband, Gene, owned and operated Red Fox Package Store in Morristown. In addition, she owned and operated Willow Hill Collectables where she sold handcrafted corn shuck dolls, wreaths, and arrangements. She was well known as a skilled craftsman and a member of the Southern Highlands Crafter's Guild. She had the honor of having one of her dolls chosen to be displayed on the White House Christmas Tree. Judy was one of the founders of Mountain Makin's Arts and Crafts Festival in Morristown. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church, and a Girl Scout leader in Morristown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Ray Warren, and her brother, Al Warren.

Judy is survived by her husband of 57 years, O. Eugene "Gene" Fox of Kingsport; daughters, Karen (Fox) Sherrod and husband, Chester of Allibaster, AL, and Kristy (Fox) Hensley and husband, John of Ocoee, FL; (honorary) son-in-law, Rob Carr, wife Gisela, and son Robert of Morristown; four grandchildren, Laurel Anthony, Tucker Fox-Hart, Taylor Anthony, and Cooper Fox-Hart; sister, Mary Smith and husband, Roger of Bristol, VA; two brothers, Dickie Warren and wife, Nancy of Kingsport, and Mike Warren and wife, Kayla of Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26th, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Chaplain Michael Driver officiating.

The graveside will be private.
