Judy Lorraine Webb

Judy Lorraine (Jones) Webb age 76, born July 26, 1942 died early in the morning on June 22, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee.  Judy grew up in Jonesborough, Tennessee and helped raise her brothers when her mother died at a young age.   She married John McKay with whom she had her daughter, Tonda.  In her early twenties she divorced John and moved to Nashville, TN and worked as an apartment manager.  Her second marriage was to Ray Webb.  She and Ray owned the successful Webb’s Floor Covering business. 

She was known as a vivacious beautiful woman with an amazing sense of humor who had many friends and was the matriarch of her large extended family. Later in life she worked as an interior decorator and was known for her parties and beautifully elaborate Christmas displays.  Judy loved to travel and went many times to Europe, South and Central America, and all over the United States. Her favorite place to visit was Hawaii

Judy was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Paul Jones; her brothers, Larry and Sam Jones; and her nephew, Gavin Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonda McKay, along with loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 26 at Gray United Methodist Church in Gray TN, with visitation from 5-7PM and the service at 7PM with Pastor Greg Davis officiating. The graveside service will be on Thursday June 27 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist in Limestone, TN with Rev Anne-Marie Zanzal officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Judy’s name can be made to the Washington County Humane Society, P.O. Box 4090, Johnson City, TN. She never met a dog she did not like and was devoted to all her pets.
